Vijayanagar Empire was a Hindu dynasty founded by Harihara and Bukka Raya in 1336. It had an unfortunate defeat from Decan sultanate, a group of Muslim kingdoms. The ruin of the capital city, now known as Hampi is a famous archeological site and tourist place.
